We want edinburghfestivalrooms.com to be usable by as many people as possible. That means working with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, high-contrast modes, and assistive technology of all kinds.
What we’re targeting
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across every page on the site. We test pages against this standard during build and periodically with screen-reader software.
What we do
- Skip-to-content link on every page.
- Keyboard navigation tested across primary flows.
- Colour contrast verified against WCAG AA ratios.
- Form labels and ARIA attributes on every input.
- All listing photos require alt text before they can go live.
- No motion or auto-playing video.
