Worker-friendly listings

All listings →

Whole properties with two or more bedrooms tend to work well for shared festival lets — performers, crew, or two friends working the same run.

03

University halls bookable for the summer

Cheapest reliable option for solo workers. Edinburgh’s universities let out student halls during the summer break.

04

What to ask before you accept

Five questions worth asking.

Pre-acceptance checklist

  • Is the room dedicated, shared, or hot-bunked between shifts?
  • How far is it from the venue you’ll be working at?
  • Is the property licensed under the City of Edinburgh STL scheme? Every employer should be able to answer this in writing.
  • Are there washing facilities, a kitchen, and somewhere to keep food?
  • Who is the deposit held by and how is it released?
